Salary Theorem

Postby HamptonEdwards » Sun Feb 14, 2010 9:55 pm

The Less You Know, The More You Make
"Salary Theorem" states that "Engineers and Scientists can never earn as much as Business Executives and Sales People."

This theorem can now be supported by a mathematical equation based on the following two postulates:

1. Knowledge is Power.
2. Time is Money.

As every engineer knows:
Power = Work / Time

Since:
Knowledge = Power
Time = Money

It follows that:
Knowledge = Work/Money.

Solving for Money, we get:
Money = Work / Knowledge.

Thus, as Knowledge approaches zero, Money approaches infinity, regardless of the amount of work done.

Conclusion:
The less you know,the more you make.

Definitely those in sales and ran the business made more money than those in the research side of things.
However, the theory fails to take a few things into consideration. The research people, for lack of a better term, spent company money ... it takes money to do the research and buy capital items to aid in the research.
Basically it came down to .....the sales side of things brought money INTO the company while the research side SPENT money. The more motivated the sales side of things, the more money coming in.

Absolute theorem with the proof. You are right business man and sales people can make more money than scientists and engineer because they work for money only but scientists and engineer need to work for both.Without money they can't think for knowledge and without knowledge they are not able to make money.
